Test tractor
Road tests
The test tractor is equipped with measuring rims on both rear wheels and the right front wheel and is used for different kind of road tests. During driving manoeuvres like a severe lane change or during obstacle passes, tyre forces and torques are recorded. Road tests are used to parameterise the Hohenheim Tyre Model likewise.
Drop tests
Besides road tests, investigations on the stationary vehicle - for example drop tests of the front or rear axle - are used for parameterisation and validation of the tyre model respectively.
