Flatbelt test stand
Drop tests
Vertical tyre properties are investigated with drop tests on the flat belt test stand. Via the courses of amplitude and time response of the wheel load in the tyre contact patch, statements regarding the spring and damper properties of the tyre are possible.
Runout tests
Runout tests at low driving velocities are conducted to measure the radial runout at different orders. These have a strong influence on the driving safety and the driving comfort of the vehicle due to self excitation of the tyre.
Braking tests
Via continuously braking the tyre, investigations regarding the stationary longitudinal force transmission of the tyre are also possible on the flatbelt test stand.
